I don't quite get what's up with women who fear lifting weights...
"I don't want to look like a guy" is what I seem to hear the most.
What's up with that? Fill me in here ladies...

Hi GymChick, I've heard this comment from girls in the gym as well. There are some women out there that associate lifiting weights with getting "bigger" and face it, that's NOT what most women want. What women need to understand is that building muscle will actually burn calories (and fat) faster, so that your mass will actually shrink, giving you a more compact and lean physique! There are also many techniques to use when lifting weights. If you're going for toned arms and legs with great defintion, lift a lighter weight with lot's of reps (3 sets of 16 reps or more instead of the usual 10) Later Girl! You're awesome
