I'M SO EXCITED.......Just can't seem to contain myself!
My gym just announced that they are having a
'Drop A Dress Size" (or lose 10 pounds) Challenge...
I haven't quite figured out what I'll do to win this challenge (aside from dieting and exercising like a crazy little chihuahua on a double shot of espresso) but I thought I'd take a trip to the mall and buy myself a tiny little number to get inspired...Shopping burns calories so I'm getting a head start!

Hey Chick, I have a question for you. I'm physically active, and at a good weight. I would LOVE to loose 5 more lbs (only five! why is it so difficult?) I'm turning 40 in 4 more weeks. I promised myself I would be at 125lbs. I've been trying for weeks, but I can't get there. My body is just refusing to budge! what can I do? HELP You'd think it would be easy right? Just a lb a week ....I'm getting desperate. what can I do? Helpless in Singapore.
Dear Helpless:
In order to properly evaluate your specific needs, please give me an idea of your diet and exercise routine. Many people plateau due to overtraining... Check out Gym Talk on the site for some tips. You may be over-exercising and undereating. Also, maybe you're simply overeating and not putting enough effort into your workout. Are you a picker? Picking at food adds up... try 5-6 small balanced meals a day. Sometimes we plateau because we do the same thing and our body simply gets used to it. Are you lifting weights? This is a sure way to rev-up your metabolism. Remember, don't just lift what you can handle - - Push yourself so you fatigue those muscles! Also, evaluate your cardio... are you mixing it up enough? Lastly, what is your height and body frame? 5lbs is not much... Your body may very well be where it should be. Are you being realistic? Please get back to me with your diet, exercise routine, height, etc... I'd be more than happy to share a few different diet tips with you. Until then...
